Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy for Pregnancy

Pregnancy isn’t just a physical experience — it’s a somatic one. As your body grows and prepares for birth, it often stirs deeper layers: old emotions, long-held patterns, and memories stored in the body’s tissues. The fascia — the connective web throughout the body — holds these imprints. Over time, they can pull the body out of alignment, activate fear responses, and create tension that may affect labor. You’ve probably heard how fear can stall labor — it absolutely can. But it’s not just about fear in the moment. It’s about the body’s readiness beforehand.

Craniosacral therapy offers a gentle, hands-on way to listen to the body’s story — and help it unwind. Rooted in osteopathic medicine, craniosacral work doesn’t force or fix; it invites the nervous system and fascia to release stored tension, complete old stress cycles, and create new space for safety, openness, and ease.

Your first session is a 90-minute experience that begins with a deep check-in. We’ll explore what’s been happening in your body, your health, and your life—and from there, we’ll move to the table, using craniosacral and somatic therapy to support your body’s natural wisdom.

Many clients say these sessions feel like a form of therapy—only better. That’s because it’s not just talk therapy. It’s somatic therapy: listening to the body directly, beyond words, and helping it express and resolve what the mind often can’t. The more the body feels safe and supported ahead of time, the more birth can unfold smoothly, powerfully, and with greater connection to both your own body and your baby.

Craniosacral Therapy for Infants

Birth is a profound journey for babies too. Even in the smoothest deliveries, a newborn’s body undergoes immense physical pressure and emotional transition — and sometimes, the effects linger. Tension patterns from pregnancy, labor, or medical interventions can show up as challenges with nursing, digestion, sleep, or general fussiness.

Craniosacral therapy offers a gentle, intuitive way to listen to a baby’s body and support their natural ability to heal. Rooted in osteopathic principles, this work uses light, nurturing touch to decompress the nervous system, release structural tension from the birth process, and create more ease for feeding and bonding.

Infant & Pediatric Sessions
I work with newborns, infants, and young children — most often for nursing challenges, tongue/lip ties, digestive discomfort, or unresolved birth trauma. As a lactation consultant and craniosacral therapist, I offer combined sessions that support both the baby’s body and their feeding relationship.

In these 90-minute sessions, we begin with a full intake and deep listening to both baby and caregiver. Together, we work to unwind stress patterns, promote healthy latch mechanics, and restore the natural connection between baby and caregiver. This work is especially valuable before and after tongue/lip tie releases, when the body needs extra support to integrate structural changes.

Craniosacral therapy is safe, intuitive, and powerful — helping babies (and parents) regulate, reconnect, and move forward with more ease.
